UK ITP Support Association’s Annual Patient Convention 2023

Danielle and Patricia from ITP Australia had the wonderful experience of attending the UK ITP Support Association’s Patient Convention on Saturday, 13 May 2023.

This was the first in-person conference for the UK since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was held at the Royal College of Pathologists in London.

The event was hosted by Mervyn Morgan, the ITP Support Association’s Chief Executive, and saw a mix of ITP patients, their supporters, UK and international clinicians, some of whom are friends and advisors for ITP Australia, and the ITP Global Alliance come together.

‘This was the first time that either Patricia or I have had the opportunity to attend the UK Annual Patients Convention in person.’ said Danielle.

As with the last few years with the virtual conventions, the event was filled with engaging speakers and updates on the latest treatments and more.

Learning more about the Adult ITP Register was definitely a highlight as we start to look into an Australian-based register during the year ahead.

ITP Global Alliance Members at the Charterhouse to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the UK ITP Support Association

The UK ITP Support Association also held its belated 25th Anniversary celebration at Charterhouse in London. This quintessentially British venue dates back to 1371, and the belated celebration was attended by key members of the UK Support Association, volunteers, medical advisors and the ITP Global Alliance.
