ITP Awareness Week

ITP Awareness Week is held each year during the last full week of September. It is a time for our community to come together, raise awareness, share stories and shine a light on the experiences of people living with Immune Thrombocytopenia across Australia and New Zealand.

In 2026, we invite you to join us in celebrating strength, connection and the power of community. Whether you live with ITP, care for someone who does or simply want to learn more, your voice helps make a meaningful difference.

What is Awareness Week?

ITP Awareness Week is an annual campaign dedicated to:

Every post, conversation and shared experience helps raise awareness and supports people who may be feeling isolated or unsure about their diagnosis.

How to Get Involved

There are many ways to take part in ITP Awareness Week, no matter where you live.

Your experience can help others feel less alone. Share your ITP journey on social media or submit your story to be featured during the week.

Help spread awareness by sharing our official ITP Awareness Week social media tiles. These tiles are designed for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, and include key messages, facts and supportive statements.

You can download and share them throughout the week to help raise awareness in your community.

Join us on Friday 25 September 2026 for I Sport Purple for Platelets Day. Wear purple to show your support for people living with ITP and help spark conversations that raise awareness.
