ITP Awareness Week 2026 marks a special milestone – our 10th year of uniting voices across the globe to shine a light on Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP). From Monday, 21 to Sunday, 27 September 2026, countries around the world will come together to increase understanding, share patient stories, and support those living with this rare autoimmune condition.
This year’s ITP Awareness Week promises to be bigger and better than ever, with activities, events, and campaigns designed to get people talking about ITP and its impact on daily life.
It’s never too early to start planning how you’ll get involved. Here are a few ideas to help you take part…

Fundraise or Donate During ITP Awareness Week
We know life can be busy, so this year we’ve extended ITP Awareness Week with an extra day – giving you more time to connect with family, friends, and your community while helping to raise funds and awareness for Immune Thrombocytopenia.
Every dollar raised during ITP Awareness Week goes directly towards supporting people living with ITP, funding vital resources, and driving advocacy across Australia and New Zealand. If hosting a fundraiser isn’t possible, you can still make a difference by making a donation – every contribution, big or small, counts.
Whether you organise a morning tea, a trivia night, a sporting challenge, or something completely unique, your efforts will help us reach more people and create lasting impact.

Purchase an ITP Awareness Pin
Get ready for ITP Awareness Week by ordering your ITP Awareness Pin and wearing it proudly all year round. These pins are a simple but powerful way to spark conversations about Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) at work, with friends and family, and in your local community.
It’s always handy to have more than one – keep one on your work jacket or coat, another on your handbag or backpack strap, and a spare for when someone asks about it (because they will!).
Every pin you purchase helps ITP Australia and New Zealand continue raising awareness, providing patient support, and advocating for better outcomes for those living with ITP.
