Sport Purple 4 Platelets Day 2026

Sport Purple 4 Platelets Day is a fun and inclusive awareness event held during ITP Awareness Week.

We’re inviting schools, sporting clubs, workplaces, community groups, families and individuals to wear purple, get active and start conversations about Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP).

Participation is simple:

  • Wear something purple
  • Play sport or get active
  • Share photos on social media
  • Encourage friends, teammates and colleagues to join in
  • Help raise awareness of ITP

Whether you’re walking around the block, training with your local sporting club, participating in a school sports day, or simply wearing purple to work, every action helps increase awareness of ITP.

The goal is simple:

One day. One colour. One conversation at a time.

Together we can educate communities, support people living with ITP and create greater recognition of this rare condition.
