ITP Awareness Week

ITP Awareness Week 2026
21-27 September 2026
ITP Awareness Week is an annual campaign that increases awareness and understanding of Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), a rare autoimmune disorder that can affect children and adults.
For many people, ITP is an invisible condition. While bruising and bleeding can be visible symptoms, fatigue, anxiety, uncertainty, and the impact of living with a rare disease are often less understood.
Throughout the week, people living with ITP, families, healthcare professionals, support organisations and community members come together to:
- Increase awareness of ITP
- Educate others about the realities of living with a rare disease
- Share lived experiences
- Advocate for improved recognition and support
- Help ensure nobody affected by ITP feels alone
Whether you’re living with ITP, supporting someone who is, or simply want to help spread awareness, your participation can make a real difference.
Together, we can make ITP more visible.
